There is also a score multiplier, and it fills up when you sprint, smash obstacles (with the special items on the way), near-miss obstacles, use warp drives, and when Grimmy gets near you. Points are obtained for certain actions, like near-missing obstacles, knocking down penguins and Eskimos, collecting fruits, and more. The game also seems more arcade-like, with the goal being to score as many points as possible. Some features like the boost tiles, falling rocks, and wall-running segments were removed, but there are special items on the way like snowballs, jetpacks, snowmobiles, giant birds, and more that can help Fred pass the obstacles. However, there are a few differences, such as holding the jump button to "sprint", "Chicken Flaps" being absent, and a slight drift each time you swerve left or right. The game plays very similar to its predecessor, Running Fred. However, it is unknown what happens next, or if Fred finally escaped Grimmy or not. In the second part of the trailer, it was revealed that Fred landed in an outhouse, where he uses its door as a makeshift snowboard to escape Grimmy. Then, she decides to follow Fred down as well. Terrified, he starts screaming again, holds his breath, and jumps off the mountain, causing Grimmy to become annoyed. Because of this, he starts praying to God, but God gave the middle finger to Fred. Unfortunately, Fred realizes that he ran up an extremely tall mountain, so he can't jump down safely. However, he looks back to see that Grimmy was still chasing him, and then he screams. According to the trailer, Fred runs up a tall mountain to escape Grimmy, and he stops and rests for a bit. The game (presumably) takes place after the events of Running Fred.

It has similar traps to Frozen Hills, but there are more traps such as lava and acid pits, jumps full of traps, outdoor segments where you can easily fall off of the "road", and more. There is a second world called "Dark Tunnels", which takes place in an icy cave. It is also full of enemies like penguins wearing TNT belts and tiny eskimos known as "Frosties", who either throw spears at Fred or drop black circular bombs on the playing field. The game takes place on a snowy mountain named "Frozen Hills", and it is full of traps like spinning saws, spiky rocks, giant spikes coming from the ground, swinging axes, bottomless pits, and more.
It is the third canon game in the "Fred" timeline and the fourth Fred game overall. Skiing Fred is a 2013 ski mobile game created by Dedalord.
